Cassandra Bell is a well-known producer, award winning director, actor, film maker, screenwriter, playwright, author, songwriter, entrepreneur, and philanthropist as well as the founder, and Chief Executive Officer of Cassandra Bell Studios, Bell Vizion Media, Cassandra Bell School of Artistre and Save Me 2 Live Foundation Inc (NFP) .

 

Cassandra Bell was raised on the West-side of Chicago. She studied Criminal Justice at Governor State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts and is pursuing her Masters degree in Leadership. As an Assistant Team Leader for Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. She is a devoted mother, mentor, humanitarian, community activist, business owner and servant of God. Her love for her community and her commitment to children, led her to open her studios where she works with at risk youth. She started the Save me 2 Live Foundation (Non Profit) and The Cassandra Bell Artistre School for Performance Arts to combat the issues facing many of the modern day youth. Artistre is a therapeutic arts program created to work with trauma and grief afflicted youth.  

 

The core of the program centers on how to channel negative energy by strengthening the following skill set; coping skills, anger-management, conflict resolutions, critical thinking and life skills. Cassandra won 2017 Business, Innovators and Game Changer Award for her community outreach work in performance arts and media. 2017 Winner of the Hidden Figures Award Honoring Trail Blazing Women in Labor and Business from Cook County Probation Department. The 2013 Black Theater Alliance Oscar Brown Jr. Award for Best Director of a Musical /Revue, 2014 Director Circle Award.  She has been featured on Windy City Live, ABC, NBC, FOX NEWS and WGN, countless radio stations for her work with young children in the arts. She completed her first Indie Film, “September Rayne”, (2017) a movie that address trauma/vicarious in young women 18 to 25years. Her Docu-series “Artistre” is presently being filmed which centers on twenty-five youth from 9 to 18years anti-violence pledge in Chicago.

 

Many of these youth face obstacles because they live in trauma/poverty ridden areas or have been victims of trauma. Her series centers on hope. Her commitment to youth is tireless, she works on and off the clock to save lives. When children experience trauma or life stressors, their lives unravel. Her greatest passion is to bring healing to children that have been through a traumatic/stress ridden experience. Grief is hard for adults, so image what a child goes through.  Cassandra programs gives them healthy perception through performance arts.
